If you're a petrol head with an awesome cruiser then January the 9th 2010 should be marked off on your calendar and you had better be with us as we set of on our first ever (soon to be annual) Cannonball Run.

Due to overwhelming demand from some of our more expensive car owners who don't want to leave there cars parked up in Wellington overnight the Cannonball Run has now become a loop mission Starting in Albany going down to Rotorua and back up to Albany again.

This one day event will start on Saturday Morning at Albany's Hooton Reserve by the Mega Centre (Maps will be available if you're not familiar with the area) at around 7.30am with the teams setting off on a adventure of a lifetime with nothing but a car load of rowdy mates, a tank full of unleaded and a map (Handed out on the day) with various "Missions" that must be completed on the way down to Rotorua where we stop and wait for the rest of the "Ballers" to turn up, we will have a quick laugh at what people have done and encountered along the way plus a bit of lunch before we mission back to Albany where the Run will finish when the last car crosses the line.

The Cannonball Run is a time based event, you will be given a certain time to arrive at a certain place, if your to early or to late your penalised, it pays for you to stick to the speed limit (We dont encourage speeding), at the end of the Run we check everyone's arrival times and mission accomplishments and tally a score. The overall points winner will receive the "Big Baller" trophy and more importantly bragging rights for the year, if there is a tie then the crowd will decide the overall winner, second place will receive the much loved "Just Not Good Enough" award and be showered in cheer's and love (But nothing of value because your Just Not Good Enough).

If you are wanting to compete then you will need......

  1. A Fully Legal Car (Fully)
  2. A Full Drivers License (No Rookies Please)
  3. Registration paid in advance for your Class.

The Competitors we're going to be broken up into groups but it was decided that we will just have the one entrance fee and the one group then you can decide what extra's you want to attach to it.

The extra's will be things like special low tack stickers (Easier to remove after the event), Limited Edition Hats and T-Shirts plus much more.

All competitors must have contacted us by the 25/12/2009 and have paid their Registration Fee (Sorry guys no pay, no compete) so we can organise the correct amount of stickers for the vehicles (a few sponsors stickers, nothing crazy) and full you in on the proceedings of the day and any last minute info we might have to give you. (Sticker Application Services can be provided to anyone who needs it)

Everything needed to fix your car in an emergency must be in your car, if you can't fix it with what you have then your out, no calling for help.

So if your interested, e-mail Vaughan now and he'll send you an info pack with everything you need to know, competitor spots for the Cannonball Run are limited so get in quick and dont miss out.
